Om, one of the biggest labels to continuously crank out major dance music compilations, is back with another to kick things off. Making its debut at the Miami Winter Music Conference, 'Om:Miami08' features 14 tracks to keep you moving all night long, or day long for that matter.
This compilation includes songs from Samantha James, Fred Everything, Chuck Love, and Naked Music NYC to name a few. 'Om:Miami08' brings the current underground house music scene to the mainstream with this compilation. It contains the classic house sound, with a mix of funk.
One of my favorites is "Here I Am" (purchase/download) by Fred Everything feat Lisa Shaw. I'm a big fan of Lisa's mesmerizing vocals and putting them together with the talents of Fred make this track a hit. Another favorite is "Breathe You In" (purchase/download)by Samantha James (the Eric Kupper Mix). Samantha James has been making major noise lately (having a hit with "Rise") and with Eric Kupper's remix magic, you have another hit! Eric's remix compliments Samantha's vocals perfectly and is definitely the stand out mix on the compilation. There are actually 3 songs by Samantha on this CD.
The compilation starts of with house and then moves to more harder styles of house and then into a break-beat sound and then ending back with house.
