Every year the dance music world travels to South Beach in Miami for the Winter Music Conference. Each year there are hundreds of parties, big records broken and lots of stories to share. This year - site writers Dewight Barkley, Mike Pope and Mike Stier covered all of the wild events of the week.
1. WMC 2009 - DJ Dewight Barkley Wrapup
Pensacola based DJ Dewight Barkley spent the week searching for the biggest song of the week. His big finds were Rank 1 "L.E.D. Let There Be Light," Armin Van Buuren "In and Out of Love," and David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland "Love Takes Over." Read on to hear more of his experiences for the week.
2. WMC 2009 - Mike Stier Wrapup
Westchester, NY-based Mike Stier didn't necessarily fathom being on his feet AND dancing for a solid five days but that's exactly what he did over the course of his inaugural WMC in Miami. Between hamming it up with the likes of Tommie Sunshine and Deadmau5, albeit briefly, at the A|X Music Lounge to meeting BT back stage at the IDMAs, to hanging out with some industry gurus at the Nocturnal nightclub until 6:30 in the morning then grabbing breakfast, this was one week that Mike will not soon forget.
3. WMC 2009 - DJ Mike Pope Wrapup
Atlanta based DJ Mike Pope attended Winter Music Conference for the first time. He was on his own trying to find fun in the South Beach clubs while waking up in the morning for the daytime seminars.

The 24th Annual International Dance Music Awards were presented on Thursday, March 26th 2009. A highlight of the Winter Music Conference, the IDMA's celebrates the best dance records, cds, DJs, website, producers, promoters and more.
7. 2009 Club World Awards - Winners Announced
Club Systems International magazine announced the winners for the sixth annual Club World Awards. A panel of industry-veteran, entirely neutral judges chose winners in categories ranging from club and jockey to system and products.
